DAVE’S STORY

As a member of the musical Vaillancourt family, Dave grew up singing from day one, in a home where there was always music being made around the kitchen table. At 8 years old, he picked up his first guitar and got to work on his lifelong passion.

These days, Dave has a repertoire of countless songs, spanning from Country, to Rock, Gospel, and Folk, as well as some original pieces. He’s played hundreds of private events, local pubs and bars, backyard parties, and more, with a relentless enthusiasm that keeps any crowd he plays for feeling included and engaged, earning him multiple local music awards.

Dave loves taking live requests, and always says, “If I know it, I'll do it. If I don't, I'll fake it. And if I can't fake it, you come up and sing it with me!”

In 2018, Dave Vaillancourt started the online live show Dave’s Place and cultivated a dedicated international audience. With a portion of the proceeds raised through Dave’s Place, he and his family were able to make donations to local Durham Region charities including The Denise House, The Refuge Youth Outreach Centre, The Backdoor Mission, and First Light Foundation of Hope.
